Jersey Herdshare
While we can’t sell raw milk in Ohio, you do have the opportunity to become part owner of our herd!! As a part owner, you get a weekly allotment of milk based on your share ownership!! Each share you own, allows you to pick up one 1/2 gallon jar of Fresh, raw A2/A2 milk!
If you need more than 1/2 gallon weekly, buy multiple shares!
How does the herdshare work…?

Step 1: Buy your piece of the Herd
One Share = ½ gallon of milk weekly (approximate and may fluctuate)
Each share is a one-time purchase of $20 to gain ownership in our milking herd and $10 toward your reusable Jars. You then receive one share portion of the milk weekly.
On your first pick-up, we will meet with you for a quick tour and paperwork. You’ll Pay $30, as one time fees per share, plus your first month maintenance fees. So, you can plan on around $50 per share on day one.
If you change your mind in a month or a year, we will buy your share back from you.

Step 2: Monthly Maintenance Fee
Now that you are an owner in the herd, you share in the expenses of owning cows too. The monthly maintenance fee is $20 per share owned and is charged at the first of the month to cover your portion of the expenses for the milking herd. This is paid every month.
Need an example? … Meet Jan!
Jan decides her family needs 2 gallons of milk weekly. So she signs up for 4 shares.
This is her receipt on her sign up day:
4 shares at $20 each……..… $80
4 Jar Sets at $10 each………….$40
4 Monthly Maint. at $20ea…..$80
Sign-up Total On Day One = $200.
Then, next month, Jan pays her Monthly Maintenance of $80 on the first of the month, and has happily been picking up 4 jars of milk once a week since sign-up day :)

Milk Pick Up
You will be scheduled for a specific day for milk pick up. You head to the milk room at the farm with your washed, empty jars from last week, place those in the return bin and look for your labeled jars in the cooler for this week’s pick up.
Your Pick up day is determined to fit your needs based on daily milk availability. Herd share agreements will be signed in person at your first pickup.
